Benefits Cap
Benefit Cap places a limit on the amount of welfare benefits some people can claim.

Disability Benefits
If you, or someone you live with has a disability or an illness, then you may be entitled to a disability benefit.

There are 3 types of disability benefit – Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Attendance Allowance (AA).

This will see a reduction in housing benefit and Universal Credit if a person is deemed to be under-occupying their social housing property.

Universal Credit (UC)
Universal Credit (UC) is a means-tested benefit paid to people of working age who are on a low income.

It replaces 6 benefits – Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit, Income Related Employment Support Allowance, Income Based Job Seekers Allowance and Income Support.

You could be eligible if you’re on a low income or claim benefits. Your bill could be reduced by up to 100%.

Pension Credit gives you extra money to help with your living costs if you’re over state pension age and on a low income.
