Work set to begin at Builder Street

ClwydAlyn Housing is to deliver 100% affordable homes to rent in Llandudno that will provide a mixture of homes for families as well as over 55’s.

The new development at Builder Street, will feature 77 one, two, three and four bedroom homes in an area where there is an independently identified shortfall.

Pre-commencement works is set to commence soon, starting with site clearance and creation of new access routes, and building works to begin in early summer 2022.

This scheme is part of ClwydAlyn’s development programme to deliver further 1500 new homes in North Wales by 2025 at an investment of £250m bringing the total number of homes in management to over 7,500.

Craig Sparrow, Executive Director of Development at ClwydAlyn, said:

“The development of this site into 77 high quality new homes will address a key need for affordable housing for a mixture of people in the local area. The design and the high standard of the build will ensure that the homes are not only stylish and comfortable but also fit for the future.

“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Lane End to bring the scheme to fruition and create a vibrant new community, as well as boosting local employment.”

Lane End will be delivering construction works at the site, utilising their extensive expertise in the construction and housing sector.

“This is an exciting project that will create much needed new homes for local people.

“We are working in partnership with ClwydAlyn to ensure the needs of the local community are met as well as all other stakeholders. Not only will the development provide high quality energy efficient homes but will also create employment opportunities for local people as part of the build.”
